Our online custom lampshade business is based on our farm 45 minutes
east of Walgett and was started as a distraction from the drought and
to channel our creativity in 2017. We added beeswax food wraps to our
product line in 2018 and have also introduced hand turned timber lamp
bases to compliment our lampshades at the beginning of 2019. We have
many rural clients as we think everyone just wants a bit of colour as our
surrounds are so drab. We have also started holding lampshade making
workshops this year at Mink & Me in Coonamble and Walgett Library. Which
is great for local rural women to have a nice relaxing productive day making
something that is bright and colourful – a great get together.
