Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park
I manage The Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park and it is owned by my parents
Jack & Dione Carter. My parents are farmers and the Tourist Park is their
off farm income.They have been feeding stock for 2 years and employ 15
people. The Tourist Park is located on the banks of the nearly dry Bogan
River. At the park, we been deeply effected by the drought, our park was
once known for its amazing grounds and beautiful lawns, it is now all dead.
We are now the only locally owned accommodation venue in Nyngan. We
have 50 cabins/rooms and we have a very good reputation. My husband is
a carpenter with a love for Timber and the owner of Stanton Timber Co. He
makes unique timber boards and platters using local timber and it is sold in
the reception at Nyngan Riverside. His boards and platters are very popular
for gifts and would make great Christmas presents.
