ALL THE STUFF THAT'S KEEPING US BUSY!

Rob Edwards – Head of Mulitmedia

What have you been working on over the past month?

This has only been my second month in the business but I think this place works in dog years because it feels much longer! This past month has been brilliant. We started with WhyFest. Two full on days of workshops all dedicated to why we do what we do as a business and how we can do it better in the future. The output we got from just 2 days is incredible and we are rolling it out from now. We’ve also had some great 121s and a ‘mini Whyfest’ at the studio to look at our communication flows and how we can improve these. Alongside that, I’ve been working hard to build some visibility of our P and L and production capacities, so we can start to lay firm foundations for the future development of the studio.

What projects do you have just around the corner?

There’s a lot going on at the moment. I’ve got a lawn to cut and I need to buy a new bike. I’m also training up for Ironman UK. Work is pretty busy too!

What are your main strengths?

Errm, I’m not really sure, I really can’t…..umm, it’s hard to errr….I think…..(ah maybe not)…..I think it’s my ability to errmmm, I think it’s my ability to decide stuff…but then again, I’m not so sure. Maybe it’s errrm, yeah, I think that ‘s it……maybe, it’s that thing, what’s it called now….errrmmmm…..shit what IS it…..ermmmm. Oh yes! Got it!.......Brevity.

What task have you most enjoyed over the last three months?

I’ve only been here two months and they have been great. Absolutely bloody loved every minute! If pushed, I’d say my favourite was probably Dodgeball, although I’m not entirely sure that can strictly be classed as ‘a task’. The question does however relate to the last 3 months, It’s fair to say, 3 months ago I was also having a bloody great time, although it’s not something I’m about to share here! :)

Who's The Bosch?

We're currently working on a concept for one of our top manufacturers for some Bosch-branded buying guides that will dispel any confusion between their ranges.

Feature Refresh

We are currently redesigning the Feature Videos for the AO site.We have freshened up the style, making them simpler and easier to digest. In keeping with the new AO brand, over the coming weeks and months, these new videos will be integrated into the site. It’s a good job they’re fun to animate, because we’ve got some 1000 to work through!

KEEP ON RUNNING

Not content on just setting the pace in the world of online retail, 3 of our number decided they would set the pace in the world of sport by running the Freckleton half-marathon. They did pretty well too with Nick coming in at 01 hr 46, Emma at 02 hr 02 and Kirstie 02 hr 23!

That's some going!
