One of the major problems is the transfer of control from the trainer to the learner.

Goals and Context of Driving (trip specific), most of the learning process takes place in a controlled environment, under the supervision of a driver trainer, then one day they are a fully licenced driver and should be capable of make all decisions in any situation. But the problem is they have never faced all situations. But there only experience is driving in their home town or city.

It is not possible in most cases to drive to neighbouring cities and counties on lessons to gain the necessary experience, so we need to cover this in theory.

Subjects such as;

1.Route planning

2.Journey context and Peer Pressure

3.Risk Assessing a Journey

4.Fatigue

5.Alcohol & Drugs

6.Fitness to Drive

7.Distractions

8.Stress

9.Time pressures

Goals for Life and Skills for Living; the learning to drive process is not the end of the journey. The learner needs to practice what has been taught and enhance their skills. They need to realise that they have only reached the first rung of the driving ladder and there is still a long way to go to be a competent driver.
