For the learner to identify the types of crashes that a newly qualified driver may be susceptible to.

To identify the types of misjudgments and mistakes that a newly qualified drivers are prone to make.

Scenario

Phase 1 (In car). Duration 3-5 minutes max

In this phase the instructor asks the learner to consider the types of crashes in which a newly qualified driver is most likely to be involved. The workbook is used to guide and structure these questions.

The questions are as follows:

Where do you feel most crashes may take place involving newly qualified drivers?

At what times of the day and on what days of the week do you fell these collisions are most likely to occur?
