Some indicated a membership of more than one association
You will need to draw your own conclusions from the survey. Some will dismiss it, this is usually the case when a survey doesn't support their stance on a subject.
The next issue is will the NASG consider the finding and adjust their position if they currently support grades.
Commercial interest will play a big part in formulating any association’s position on grades.
If there are no grades the some associations will lose the ability to sell courses to ADI’s on the pretence that the course will give them a better grade.
Whether or not there are grades many instructors will choose to maintain and enhance their knowledge, just as some will choice to do nothing.
There is to be a face to face meeting of the NASG on March 7th 2014 at Esher Place, Surrey. This meeting is to be hosted by Dib-Unite. No doubt the subject of grading will be on the agenda. One association has so far indicated they are unable to attend.
No doubt Chatham House Rule will also be debated. It has been suggested by one association that those breaching CHR should be removed from the NASG. We wait to see on what authority this can be done.
