DSA cancel all meetings with ADI consultative groups.

Dib-Unite had their scheduled bi-lateral meeting with the DSA for 21st June 2013. However on the 17th June 2013 we received the following email;

I am writing to let you know that we are unfortunately having to cancel all our meetings with the ADI consultative groups. We realise that this is very short notice, particularly for those due to meet with us this week.

We will be looking at opportunities for a meeting with our stakeholders in the coming months and will be in touch about this in due course.

Some of you have already suggested items for the agenda for your meeting. If there are any operational issues which cannot be resolved in a different way, please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.

So without warning and within a couple of days of our meeting it's cancelled.

Speculation of the reasons for the sudden change are rife. We are awaiting confirmation that other associations have had their meeting cancel.

So what turmoil is happening at the DSA or is it down to the Governments intended Green Paper that’s due out later. Issue now solved.

The breaking news from last month is the merger between VOSA and DSA.

The following statement was issued by Rosemary Thew on 20th June 2013;

I wanted to let you know as soon as possible two fresh items of news for the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).

Single agency

The Department for Transport (DfT) has just announced the creation of a single agency which will bring together the testing and standards services that are currently provided by the DSA and the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).
