Now, however, there is a rising consciousness amongst consumers in India, where the shift to ‘au naturel’ is being given great importance. We are now living in a ‘label-checking’ world, where people want to know what goes into what they eat and drink. They want to ensure it is healthy and as close to the natural source as possible while tasting great at the same time. According to a study by Euromonitor, consumers are now looking for ‘clean’ labels such as: natural sources of protein; no added sugar; and reduced or low-calorie products.
