trends in the beverage industry are also set
to reflect the same. This will include the
trends which the industry is claiming right
now and they will continue to evolve with
the passing of time. Also, in the coming
years, the beverage industry could see an
increasing emphasis on several aspects
such as: functional beverages with super
food ingredients; plant-based products like
creamers or milks; colour and nostalgia;
globally inspired flavours; new textures; etc.
Above all, consumers are showing more
interest in sustainability. They are ready to
pay more on products claiming sustainability.
Here, social media is playing an important part
in spreading a message about sustainability
and encouraging consumers to be more
thoughtful about their purchases. Studies
show that in the beer category, people are
willing to pay more for sustainable brews.

and awareness of the consumers, it is certain
that we can expect more beverages with eco-
friendly packaging, up cycled and fair-trade
ingredients in the near future!
