WELCOME TO OUR HOME. WE CREATED THIS
WORLD SO THAT YOU CAN CREATE ITS OWN STORY.
And that’s the message behind our entire project. We
create our own homes. It’s a space where the entire
family comes together and unites through their dif-
ferences and through a mutual understanding and
love. And it doesn’t have to be a physical space. It
can literally be an Instagram page. As long as you
feel connected to it. And we indeed feel connect-
ed to Home right now. As far as our final goal goes,
we want to carry this idea forward to where it con-
nects different cities and even different countries.
We want to do in both, a digital and an analog way.
The second one means we intend to connect our
Universities through the project of Home by placing
a box in each of the Faculty buildings – one in Nova
Gorica and two in Belgrade (Kosančićev venac and
Zvezdara). Students would be invited to contribute
by putting a 10×10cm printed photo of their own (or
their favorite) window, door or roof, so that we could
create a real-life collage of those photos. By doing
this, we could create a universal house, parts of
which the three of us already are a part of, only indi-
vidually. The digital goal is that we continue building.
We have created a hashtag #weareallunderthesa-
meroof which can be used for people to share their
window, roof or door photos with us. This way we can
unite different parts of the world and, through contin-
uous building, we can even create a world neighbor-
hood – all just from photos we would’ve been sent.
In a way, we would be expanding this project from
Mapping the Local to Mapping the Worldwide. And
what better way to connect people and places oth-
er than to build a family – all under the same roof?!
