The Fall project was initiated in the form of a block seminar : a five day long intensive programme ; these various activities were included during the working sessions :
• lectures by teachers introducing the topics and problems related to urban space ;
• field work and research exploring cultural content and urban phenomena relevant to the topic ;
• representation and discussion of field work , tutorials and a final presentation .
The overall course methodology relied on three main aspects specific to the Mapping the Local seminar : the combination of practice and theory , the facilitation of intercultural group work and the promotion of an artistic position which is both conceptual-reflective , and active-interventionist .
The first day of the seminar included backstory presentations or self-profiles of each of the participants ; a discussion of the seminar objectives ; and an interrogation of the seminar ’ s methodology . During this process five distinct themes ( or subject areas ) were formulated and the student participants self-organised into five working groups .
By the fifth day it was decided that the final objective of the seminar would be a publication based on the creative processes and practical results of each working groups . The publication would be collated and designed in Belgrade and would also include work from a sixth group that was formed in Nova Gorica .
• each of the group projects are organised into six chapters or sections that contain the creative processes and results of the collaborations ;
• each project includes : group title , participants names and home school ; often group projects include links to video and sound media .
