The new designs adapt to the taste of every bride. On the one hand, volume is revamped with original designs and lighter patterns. While, on the other hand, the designs of the ball gown, mermaid and flared silhouettes are modified to focus on body shape, achieving more movement and lightness in the skirts. Gowns with fringes on the sleeves and necklines, and white rhinestones, to bring a lot of shim- mering details into this collection. Brides can choose from a wide variety of necklines created to flatter their figure. They will also find openings on the sides that streamline the feminine curves, as well as bodices combining illusion crystal tulle and French lace. The lightness of the designs is emphasized with applications of lace and chiffon godets, while the dresses buttoned from top to bottom pro- vide fluidity and elegance. The off-the-shoulder styles and overskirts allow us to create multiple combinations to change the dress, depend- ing on the moment. The new bridal collections present a broad variety of designs, so brides can find the dress that best shows their personality and style. What is your source of inspiration when you start working on a new collection? I’m mostly inspired by the team. It’s not about the inspiration coming to me, it’s all about the hard work and the implication everyone in Pronovias has. We all like to share ideas and help each other, that’s how our collections work and are created. Also it’s true that I change my mind every year in the search of an inspiring character. What are your favourite fabrics that you think will always be “in style”? Lace has been always the fabric DNA of Pronovias, the special and detailed treatment that we take for these gowns is absolutely unique around the world, and our embroidery is all handmade piece by piece in our Atelier in Spain. Also crepe is one of my favorite fabrics in our collections as it brings freshness and flow to our new gowns. The selection of fabrics is the principal element of our creations, we invest a lot of time studying and choosing the fabrics or making combination proposals. For Atelier Pronovias 2108 we used wonderful fabrics combined with thread and lace embroideries to enhance the bride’s femininity; silk chiffon, organza and mikado are used to create full gowns, while crepe and soft satin cling to the body. perfect wedding magazine.com 19
