was privileged to team up
with the Nassau Community College GEAR
UP Program to celebrate
Uniondale graduates.
This was an opportunity
that we have been waiting for. DREAM TEEN
Magazine is looking forward to other events
with the Nassau Community College GEAR UP
Program. Moreover,
DREAM TEEN Magazine teamed up with
the Roosevelt Alumni
Golf Tournament
Fundraiser. Alumni
Dr. Julius Erving and
others gathered at
Eisenhower Park to
play eighteen holes of
golf and a delectable
dinner.
Several community programs that are
geared to enhance our
students and promote
education are in the
neighborhoods in
which we live. I was
asked, How do you
find such talent?”
“That’s not difficult,”
I said. We have a
plethora of talent in
our communities.

next door could be the next CEO of a major
corporation.
Though we may speculate on the future of
our youth, unbeknownst to us, but known by
God, we have no idea of God’s plans for us.
First Lady, Michelle Obama is a great example
of how a little girl living on the second floor of
a two-story house on Euclid Street in Chicago’s
South Shore would graduate from Princeton
University and Harvard Law School. Her story
is intriguing and amazing, she met her future
husband--the future
44th president of the
United States at the
Sidley Austin law
firm, and their first
date was the Spike
Lee movie, Do the
Right Thing.
Never speculate, you could be in
the midst of a future
commander-inchief. They could be
among the children
you come in contact
with. Speculation
is a tool used to kill
the dream. He or she
