Summary: 6th grade

students will collaborate

on a space themed

artwork. Sixteen 6 inch

pieces make up the

finished 2' by 2'

laminated artworks. Be

creative!

Materials; Pencils,

Sharpie markers, 6" by 6"

paper, 6" by 6" film

laminate.

Objective

Students will:

1. Look for images of

spaceships and planets

they like;

2. Sketch images on 6"

by 6" white paper;

3. Transfer drawings to

laminate. Color fully with

sharpie.

Steps to setting up &

preparing;

1. Pass out art materials,

markers, tracing circles;

2. Pass out resources:

book “How to Draw

Spacecraft?”;

3. Practice on paper and

film scraps.

Directions

1. Sketch spacecraft or

planets on 6” by 6”

paper;

2. Trace sketch or draw

on film, coloring all or

most of background.
