Directions
Day 1: I presented the
website, submission
requirements, and had
them do their research at
home, using the FLIP
Natalie and Kailyn
"Obliviate"
classroom model. Their
homework was to come up
with at least one sketch in
their sketchbooks as well
as any questions for further
explanation.
Day 2: They got into their
chosen groups of 5 or less
students and began to
share their designs. Each
group selected the best
design to be used in thier
2' by 2' design.
Day 3-4: The groups
transferred the ideas to a 2'
by 2' sheet of paper to play
with the size using the
'Principals of Design'.

Evaluation
Did you and your students enjoy
working on this assignment?
Yes; they were given the
opportunity to run this
project with very little
constraints. They flourished
together with little

guidance and structure.
This was a great project for
me to begin the year with. I
was able to assess and
reflect for future projects
based upon their willingness to jump in and
take learning into their own
hands. Being free to make
decisions & design this
project was very exciting.
