As one of the final handful of drivers to be announced as invitees , Spencer Hyde and his team had just a few weeks to prepare for the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod presented by J & A Service . Once on the grounds at Bradenton Motorsports Park , they qualified on the bump spot of the 32-car field , making it in by just one thousandth of a second . But through a combination of hard work , stellar reaction times , and a race car that got progressively quicker on race day , Hyde earned the $ 100,000 win .
