Racers enjoyed the early-morning breakfast provided on Saturday , as well as the racer appreciation dinner on Saturday night , and the weather shaped up for the second half of the event and some great racing was enjoyed .
Winners on Saturday include Bryce Self , who captured the win in Box , and Jeremy Casey , who went the distance in No Box . Peeps Pennington
got the win in Sunday ’ s Box finale , while Jake Howard took home top honors in No Box . The most spectacular driving of all was exhibited by a Jr . Dragster racer , Leah Hughes , who scored back-to-back victories at this event .
While 2022 has proven to be the busiest season yet for CP Racing Promotions , Pollage anticipates an even more robust roster of events in 2023 . “ Probably gonna do around 15 or 16 events next season ,” Pollage says . “ We ’ re traveling east next year for the first time ... all the way to North Carolina ’ s Farmington Dragway !”
CP Racing Promotions will also stage a return to Prescott Raceway in Arkansas , along with a stop in London , Kentucky , at London Dragway , as well as a long list of gatherings at State Capitol and I-30 . “ These are the races that have been confirmed ... there ’ s some more stuff we ’ re working on that hasn ’ t even been confirmed yet , so it should be a great season in 2023 !” concludes Pollage .
