NITRO BANDIT
Canadian-turned-So-Cal nitro racer Jeff Arend lays down a patch of rubber in the “ Nitro Bandit ” Mustang Funny Car at the Texas NHRA FallNationals . Arend , a former full-time Funny Car driver , got the call to drive the new car for brothers Dexter and Brad Tuttle . Brad , who last raced a “ Nitro Bandit ” Funny Car in the 1990s , returned to the seat on the Monday after the race , clocking a best of 4.12 seconds at 304 mph .
