KHALID AL-BALOOSHI UNLEASHES RECORD PERFORMANCE TO WIN $ 50,000 PRO MOD FINAL

KHALID AL-BALOOSHI has had this feeling before .

It was 2011 when Al-Balooshi ’ s year started with a dominant Pro Mod run overseas in the Arabian Drag Racing League , winning a championship there and then claiming the NHRA Pro Mod world title several months later .
It was a dominant run for Al-Balooshi and , a decade later , it might be happening for a second time .
He was thoroughly incredible overseas this winter , winning four straight races in his Bahrain 1 Racing ProCharger-boosted Camaro and claiming the championship .
Working extensively with tuner Brad Personett – and adjusting almost flawlessly to the new manual shifting rule in the class – Al-Balooshi came to the World Doorslammer Nationals ready to win the $ 50,000 prize .
He had the top Pro Mod all weekend at Orlando Speed World Dragway and that was emphasized in resounding fashion in a record-breaking final round .
