Chevrolet Performance LSX 454 long block crate engines are built with an allforged , super-tough rotating assembly and feature a pair of new deep-breathing LSX 6-bolt cylinder heads . They also come dressed with great looking , all-new orange powdercoated valve covers with an engraved LSX 454 logo . With a carburetor and high-flow Chevrolet Performance intake manifold ( sold separately ), these engines are good for about 627 hp and 586 lbs . -ft . of torque . Due to the number of application variations , the LSX 454 crate engines do not include an oil pan , and the valve covers do not include provisions for mounting the ignition coil brackets .
