Daniel Ray sends bright zoomie flames flying as he launches off the Bradenton starting line in Jack Greene ’ s Musi 959-powered “ Warbird ” ‘ 68 Firebird en route to a solid Friday night qualifying pass in Radial vs . the World competition . Ray put the class on notice in the opening round when he defeated world-beater Stevie “ Fast ” Jackson with a 3.61-second pass . He was an assassin on the starting line , using holeshot advantages to beat Jason Lee ’ s 3.57 with a 3.60 in the second round and Kevin Rivenbark ’ s 3.55 with a 3.58 in the semifinals . Ray pushed the tree too hard in the final round , going red against Bryan Markiewicz .
