Over the last five years , the Drag IllustrateD 30 Under 30 list has recognized the sport ’ s rising stars , from drivers and tuners to media members and manufacturers . Each of the five 30 Under 30 issues have featured an almost entirely new list of 30 young drag racers , with only a few people appearing on the list more than once . Nearly 150 different honorees have been featured on the list .

Each honoree had achieved some level of success when they were picked – it ’ s largely why they were picked – but they also displayed a great deal of potential for continued success . They shared their dreams , goals and plans for the future . In the case of the 15 past honorees on the following pages , they called their shots , going on to win huge races , secure world championships and generally advance their careers in big ways .
