QA1 ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR 2021 # GODRIVEIT CRUISES AFTER SUCCESSFUL 2020 SEASON
■ QA1 has announced plans for a series of # goDRIVEit cruises in 2021 , with dates to be announced during the upcoming winter months .
The new season will follow the same format as their successful 2021 set of # goDRIVEit cruises , which brought over 750 vehicles and nearly 1500 people together for drives throughout Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin .
Designed as a way for everybody , no matter their vehicle , to get out of the house and spend a fun day cruising with family , friends , and other enthusiasts , the three cruises each followed a roughly 100-mile loop , giving attendees plenty of time to enjoy the scenery , stop for photos , and just enjoy the ride at their own pace . Each was designed around back roads and avoided major highways as much as possible :
The Get Out and # goDRIVEit Cruise in May took country roads through central Minnesota towards the Minnesota River Valley .
The River Run took place in early August , leading participants towards Red Wing before following the Mississippi River up towards the St . Croix .
The final cruise , the Fall Colors
Run in October , took participants through the scenic countryside of Lakeland , Hastings , and Cannon Falls .

“ We designed the routes to explore areas your GPS normally wouldn ’ t take you ,” says Dave Kass , QA1 Marketing Manager . “ For 2021 , we plan to create new routes with the same focus on combining long straightaways with awesome curvy roads , all while exploring the great scenery our area has to offer .”
QA1 believes vehicles are meant to be driven , not hidden , so all years , makes , and models are welcome , from the most pristine show cars to rusted-out backyard gems . Vehicles in the 2020 season ran the gamut , from motorcycles to muscle cars to Porsches and Teslas , and even included Street Outlaws stars Tina and David Pierce .
“ These cruises are the heart of what we do ,” says Kass . “ This is our core belief and mission : No matter what you drive , we want you to # goDRIVEit !”

S & W PERFORMANCE GROUP RELEASES NEW LS SERIES MOTOR PLATES
■ The S & W Performance Group has introduced two direct fit aluminum motor plates , designed to fit General Motors LS Series engines . The new LS motor plates , as well as S & W ’ s complete line of direct fit door car , dragster , altered and funny car motor and mid plates , are engineered to help to eliminate frame flex and rotational engine movement , while providing additional header clearance .
The one piece plates have an overall size of 36 " x 12 " and fit GM LS1 , LS2 , LS3 , LS6 , LS7 , LSA , LS9 and LSX engines . Each plate is precision waterjet cut in-house from 1 / 4 " thick 6061-T6 aluminum and are available with or without the turbo notches .
“ Customer requests are frequently called into our office and also made in-person to our sales representatives , while at the track . The development of the one piece LS Series motor plates , as with many of our competition components and performance street parts , was driven by customer demand ,” said Jill Fazekas , S & W ’ s Marketing Director . “ Our goal is to satisfy our customer ’ s needs and produce products that perform repeatedly .”
The motor plates will arrive with a bare finish and are ready to boltin or they can be finished as desired , before installation . The new additions will bring S & W ’ s directfit LS Series motor plate total to three , as they join their existing 2-piece style .
