Fletcher Cox is laser-focused on the task at hand as he brings his
driver, Shawn Ayers, into the pre-stage beam for a Radial vs. the World
qualifying pass in the Cox Racing screw-blown ‘19 Camaro. Ayers, the
2018 NMCA Street Outlaw champion, qualified No. 4 in the 14-car field
before ripping off a 3.634-second, 210 mph blast to win first round.
It’s a brand-new car owned by Cox, a 2018 Super Bowl champion
defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, but it’s proven to be an
immediate contender in just a couple early-season appearances.
