CALLIES PERFORMANCE
TO BRING BACK MOPAR
GEN II HEMI/WEDGE CAST
IRON ENGINE BLOCKS
■ Together with Energy Manufac-
turing Ltd. (Energy), Callies Per-
formance Products (Callies) an-
nounces a new licensing deal with
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to manu-
facture and distribute the 426 Hemi
and the 440 Wedge cast iron engine
blocks and cylinder heads (cast iron
and cast aluminum). The agreement
provisions Energy to produce the
cast iron blocks and cylinder heads
while Callies, their sister company,
will manufacture supporting com-
ponentry and rotating assemblies.
Sales and distribution will be based
at Callies in Fostoria, Ohio.
Up until now, there’s been a seri-
ous lack of supply for both blocks,
which are classic favorites for street
applications and sportsman racing
alike. Heath Norton, Vice President
of both Callies and Energy, says “The
marketplace hasn’t had real access to
this product in over a decade. Now
customers will be able to get these
blocks consistently through the Cal-
lies dealer network with Mopar 426
Hemi and 440 Wedge part numbers
for their engine builds.”
All parts manufactured will carry
an authentic Mopar part numbers
and be produced from original
Mopar molds, cores, and engineer-
ing data. Orders will begin to ship
in the third quarter of 2020.

HP STREET/STRIP CLUTCH

has expanded their
extensive twin disc
clutch line to in-
corporate the new
McLeod SFT 2000.
The SFT 2000 by
McLeod brings a
whole new level
of holding power
to the street/strip
twin disc clutch market. The Street
Fighter Twin, as we call it, can hold
an amazing 2,000 HP while still
being very street friendly.
Debuted at the PRI Show, the
SFT 2000 inherits the McLeod
standard for twin disc technol-
ogy. Equipped with two ceramic
discs, the unit has a 10.5” pressure
plate, compliant with factory hy-
draulics, and will fit in the factory
bellhousing.
The semi-metallic discs are
great for smooth engagement and
high horsepower street driving,
yet give you the material you need
when fighting for that win light at
the track.
