■ A longtime name in the sport,
Thermo-Tec has a number of new
initiatives in mind to close out 2019
and into 2020. One of those is dif-
ferent ventures working with sev-
eral companies, including a spon-
sorship of the D rag I llustrateD 30
Under 30 list for the first time.
The standout, family-owned
company has been a leader and
innovator in the area of heat
and sound insulation products
for three decades, and they know
the importance of providing sup-
port to the younger generations
in drag racing.
“It’s definitely important being
involved with the younger genera-
tion in the industry,” says Jeremy
White, director of sales and spon-
sorships at Thermo-Tec. “Establish-
ing a relationship and support for
the industry and what they’re doing
benefits everybody in the future.
It’s really exciting to be part of this
and we’re really looking forward to
what the future holds for everyone
involved. The sky is the limit and
we’re excited to see what comes
from this group.”
Thermo-Tec invented the ex-
haust wrap more than three de-
cades ago and continues to stay
ahead of imitators within the
product category. They’ve used in-
novation and technology to keep a
step ahead when it comes to heat
and sound insulation products, tak-

ing no shortcuts when it comes to
safety and performance. Being 100
percent American-made has also
gone a long way within the racing
community.
“Out of all of our competitors,
ours is the only one still 100 per-
cent American-made, and we take
pride in having quality products
and really standing behind our
products,” White says. “We really
pride ourselves in taking care of
the customers. I race, my dad used
to race and we all use our prod-
ucts on our vehicles. And we are
the original. We started this cat-
egory in 1987 and that’s really what
stands out.”
That nod to family is also impor-
tant for White and the company,
especially as it relates to the 30
Under 30 list. White got started in
motorsports because his father was
heavily involved, and it’s something
that has been passed on throughout
the company.
Not only did Thermo-Tec start
the heat and sound insulation
category, they’ve continued to en-
hance it because they’ve been so
entrenched in the sport.
“Every generation you have to
pass it down and that’s definitely
how I was brought into it,” White
says. “You get sucked in and before
you know it, it’s your life. It’s really
cool to see how family-oriented this
all DI
is.” DI — DI JOSH HACHAT

■ When Jeff Anderson looks at
the drag racing scene, he sees an
industry thriving with even more
potential in the future. That means
the Moser Engineering marketing
director also sees a sport filled with
young talent, a major reason why
the company, one steeped in history
and success in the sport, remains
a staunch supporter of the D rag
I llustrateD 30 Under 30 list.
“When this program first started,
I was really excited about it because
I think this is something a lot of
people had taken their eye off the
ball, and it was nice to see D rag
I llustrateD stand up and give these
kids recognition,” Anderson says.
“To see the youth coming back
into the sport and seeing it grow
with the younger generation, it
really gives me hope for the future
of racing. And some of the kids
coming up aren’t even from families
who raced. To see them finding the
sport, it’s pretty amazing.”
Anderson sees that involvement
from every angle and series in part
because Moser Engineering has its
hands in almost every area of the
sport.
A noted leader when it comes
to custom rears and axles – along
with a variety of other high-quality
products – for nearly 35 years,
Moser is the brand of choice for
drivers in nearly ever class and
major series.
The company is quick to offer its
support, too, whether it is through
partnerships or as a contingency
sponsor, offering strong backing
in the sportsman ranks. That
comes from having a family heavily
involved in the sport, dating back to
Greg Moser and Rob Moser.
Justen Moser was on the DI 30
Under 30 list in 2015, while the
likes of Cole Cummings and Gage
Burch – two recipients on the 2019
list – have praised the company’s
support.
“It’s always nice when what you
do to support the sport also comes
back to you in the future with name
recognition and forming those
bonds with customers,” Anderson
says. “But that’s really secondary.
We don’t just talk the talk, we
walk the walk. There’s a reason
you see Rob Moser at this events,
or Justen Moser racing. It’s really
something we enjoy doing. When it
comes to a program like this when
you recognize the youth in having
fun and realizing the satisfaction
of working hard, it makes us feel
good about the sport itself.”
Anderson sees the involvement
of an impressive generation
as validation for the sport and
opportunities for future growth.
He applauds the strong car counts
across several different sportsman
racing classes, and is blown away
by the talent level in younger racers
and participants – all great signs for
the industry’s future.
“The group of kids we have com-
ing up is just phenomenal. The tal-
ent is off the charts,” Anderson says.
“It’s impressive to see how success-
ful they are at such a young age.
I’ve got a good feeling next year is
really going to be a breakout year
for a lot of companies. I’ve got a
very positive outlook. We’re living
through a rebirth, and as far as we
go, we look at that growth and we
see it filtering out, even to the street
car segment. For us, all across all
spectrums of business, we’re seeing
growth across every one of our seg-
ments.”
