Ward (right) and ace crewman, Logan Paul, pack the parachutes of Ward’s 2001 Pro Mod Corvette during a Labor Day Monday Quick-8 Shootout at North Carolina’s Shadyside Dragway, an event Ward went on to win. Ward’s ‘Vette was built in Australia by chassis man, Murray Anderson, and famously campaigned nationally by Jim Oddy and Fred Hahn with Summit sponsorship. The car later wound up in Sweden where it was involved in a crash that put the car on its roof, after which it found its way back to America, and more specifically back to Jim Oddy’s race shop. When Ward saw the car sitting in the corner a few years ago he decided to buy it on the spot and have it repaired. Ironically, Ward and Oddy also teamed up from that day forward and together have won multiple events with the car. When not Pro Mod racing, Ward also wheels Oddy’s wild 1934 Willys in the Nostalgia AA/Gassers serie s, where they have scored three consecutive championships.
