M1. ENERGY STAR ® DISHWASHER
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION
Two points of credit may be awarded for installing a dishwasher than meets or exceeds the ENERGY STAR standards adopted on January 20, 2012. These standards limit the energy use of a standard-sized dishwasher to 295 kilowatt-hours per year( kWh / year) and water use to 4.25 gallons of water per cycle. To qualify for ENERGY STAR, the product must meet the standards by the date of manufacture.
If the standards change during the GreenPoint Rated cycle, the dishwasher must meet the ENERGY STAR standards current at the time of purchase and installation.
VERIFICATION
Field Verification: The Rater will verify installation of a qualifying product in the field and take representative photos.
Documentation: The Rater must collect the dishwasher’ s ENERGY STAR rating, and the level of energy and water use that meets current standard levels( according to the EPA website).

M2. CEE-RATED CLOTHES WASHER
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION
Up to three points of credit are available for installing a qualified clothes washer from the CEE list that meets the following requirements:

Two points for meeting ENERGY STAR and CEE Tier 2 Requirements Three points for meeting ENERGY STAR and CEE Tier 3 Requirements
As of January 2011, the CEE Tier 2 requirements are a MEF > 2.2 and a WF ≤ 4.5, and the CEE Tier 3 requirements are a MEF > 2.4 and a WF ≤ 4.0. The clothes washer must match these standards at the time of installation in the home.
If the standards change during the GreenPoint Rated cycle, the clothes washer must meet the CEE Tier standards current at the time of purchase and installation.
VERIFICATION
Field Verification: The Rater will verify installation of the qualifying product in the field and take representative photos of the product and model number.
