For the garage fan, the Rater will collect documentation of control, runtime, and air changes per hour. For the tightly sealed air barrier, the Rater will collect test results of a blower door test with smoke / fog tools to verify the lack of air movement from the garage to the home, and an Accountability Form from a qualified professional that this measure has been met.

D10. STRUCTURAL PEST AND ROT CONTROLS
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION
Up to two points of credit are available for installing structural pest controls with the goals of reducing opportunities for rot, using building materials that deter or do not attract pests, and increasing the distance between the soil and the home’ s framing materials, as follows:
D10.1. All Wood Located At Least 12 Inches Above the Soil( 1 Point) This measure applies to all wood, including siding, trim, and structural members.
The distance between the sill / sole plate and the finished soil grade after foundation plant landscaping and mulching should be at least 12 inches. Assume at least three inches of mulching.
D10.2. Wood Framing Treated With Borates or Factory-Impregnated, or Wall Materials Other Than Wood( 1 Point)
At least one of the following must be true:
� All wood three feet from the foundation is treated with Borates. � All material within three feet of the foundation uses factory-impregnated materials. � All walls are not made of wood.
This measure includes all wood for dimensional lumber, sheathing, and siding.
