DURABLE CABINETS

CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION Note: This measure applies to multifamily projects only. This measure is available for allocation (partial credit). Allocation should be calculated based on the total cabinets installed in the home. Up to one point is available for building durable cabinets with the following minimum standards: ? ? ? ? ? All casework is built with plywood, assembled with adhesives and screws. All doors are hardwood. Full extension drawer slides have ball bearings. All cabinet joints are dovetail, mortise and tenon, or other methods substantially beyond typical construction. All hinges are metal and attach to doors and face frame from two directions.

VERIFICATION Field Verification: The Rater will conduct field compliance verification. Documentation: The Rater will collect cabinet plans and specifications. INTENT To reduce waste maintenance and long-term costs.
