With age I have rekindled my love for an old pair of boots
I used to absolutely adore when I was a young girl. It’s
somewhat a strange feeling; I feel a little nostalgia creeps
in from time to time, and this feeling of nostalgia brings
back the love I used to feel for them when I was younger.
Although my size 5 feet wouldn’t even enable their selves
to squeeze a little toe into them now, the little voice in
my head has pushed me to purchasing a newer pair just
like them.
Let’s skip back to the day when I first got my hands on
my favourite pair of boots, they were beautiful then, and
looking back I still gain a beautiful image in my head of
them now. I was always rather picky when it came to shoes;
it always took me a while to take a severe liking to them,
especially ones that my mum chose. Being a twin my mum
always enjoyed providing us with matching outfits, right
the way down to the shoes, we were always dressed the
same, and people were forever approaching us both stating
how ‘cute’ we looked. It took quite a long time for my
mum to break out of the phase of dressing us both up
in matching pink dresses and ballet pumps, but when the
novelty eventually wore off, we both began to gain our own
personal styles.
