Active Adult Classes
Hands-On Digital Photo Editing Class
Ages 16+
This 4-session “hands on” class will show
you how to use Adobe Photoshop Elements
software to edit and improve your digital
photographs. Classes are for beginning and
intermediate photographers who have a
laptop computer with Photoshop Elements
11, 12 or 13 installed.
You will learn how to improve your images
by adjusting the color and sharpness, and
how to correct problems like overexposure
and underexposure. Topics will include
understanding Photoshop Elements’ tools,
filters, layers, resolution, file size, cropping
and more.
At the first class you will be given the “class
images” that all will work on. As we move
on, you will work with your own images.
NOTE: You can download Adobe Photoshop
Elements 13.0 from the adobe.com website
and use it as a free trial for 30 days. So, if
you are interested in trying the program this
is a great way to do it before investing.
You must have basic computer skills, with
either MAC or PC. This is not a class on how
to use your computer. Students will need
essential basic computer skills to take this
class, e.g: navigating on your computer, be
able to open applications, be able to create
folders and save files to a folder and how to
use e-mail.
Please arrive one half hour early to set up
your computer. It’s easier to navigate with
an external mouse than to use the touch
pad on your laptop. If you don’t know how
to upload images from your camera or
media card please come one hour early to
the first meeting for instruction. kr
