Summer Camps 2014 H Summer Camp Update H Due to schedule changes in D62 schools, Session 1 for many of our camps has been cancelled. See page 47 for more info. Welcome–we’ve been waiting for you! This Camp Guide has all of the information you need to sign up for a great summer of fun. Our website has lots of photos, and our Recreation Staff is always happy to talk to you about how our camps are run. We offer Before & After Camp Care, to make your day a little easier, and our payment plans help as well. Early Bird rates are in effect through May 18. Register soon and save. About Lake Park Camps Beautiful Lake Park is the site of three wonderful summer day camps: Adventure Camp features two weeks full of exciting day trips; Camp Opeka is packed with local fun; Camp Chickagami, our most popular camp, has outdoor activities, special events, and two full-day field trips each week. Our dedicated, experienced camp counselors make the difference! Every camper receives the care and attention that helps create a lifetime of happy memories. It’s no wonder our campers come back year after year, and tell their friends, too! Registration, Payment Plans and Scholarships Complete information is on page 48. Adventure Camp at Lake Park Ages 8–14 Adventure Camp is designed for kids who want to try something new and adventurous every day. Each two-week session we take a daily field trip to water parks, baseball games, zoos, movies, laser tag facilities, rock climbing sites, entertainment centers, go bowling, canoeing, and more. Plus, each session we travel to Rock Cut State Park for an overnight campout. This camp is limited to only 23 adventurers per session, so sign up quickly. Sign up for every session! The destinations change each week: tentative details and field trip calendars will be available on our website. Campers receives one shirt per summer, which they are required to wear on all field trips. Extra shirts may be purchased for $7. Please note: Lunch is not provided. Campers should bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch on the trips.
