Adventure Walk Sunday , April 22

Adventure Walks are fun and educational day trips for active adults & families . Children 10 and older are always welcome when accompanied by a parent .
This trip departs from and returns to Prairie Lakes Community Center 515 E . Thacker Street .
We leave at 8:00a sharp , and return between 6:00 – 7:00p . Min / Max : 18 / 36
John Deere Historic Site , Grand Detour and Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home , Dixon Illinois
Grand Detour , Illinois , is where John Deere forged the first self-scouring steel plow — in 1873 — that helped open the emerging American West to settlement .
At the John Deere Historic Site we ’ ll see a faithful replica of the original blacksmith shop , walk the grounds and tour the original Deere family home .
In Dixon , we ’ ll tour the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home and Visitor Center with its movie of Reagan ’ s formative years in Dixon .
Lunch is included at the restaurant of the Timber Creek Golf Course , where Ronald Reagan caddied as a boy . Then , there ' s time for a stroll along the beautiful Dixon Rock River Walk . R : $ 78 / NR : $ 83 # 562502-1
