Something for all ages to enjoy!
Ages 4–11
Discover the artist within as we venture
on a quest of artistic discovery. We’ll learn
about the styles of the Old Masters and
experiment with a variety of media including
pencil, charcoal, pastels, paint, clay, and
collage to create beautiful works of art.
Children explore, imagine, and discover in
their own unique ways, and art helps them
to become the creators, innovators, and
problem-solvers of the future. Please bring
a sketchbook to each class. ns

Community Owls Reading Programs
Community Owls is a private organization
that partners with park districts to
teach literacy classes in the community.
Community Owls’ instructors are highly
qualified, experienced teachers who love
teaching, but more importantly, love
teaching literacy. Using tools like whisper
phones, fresh reads, and timers, your child
will have a hoot in these fun and interactive
classes. We make sure they also are
acquiring the necessary tools to become a
more fluent and confident reader. kr
Reading Boot Camp
Grades 2–3
Your growing reader will have a hoot
practicing their reading fluency in a fun,
interactive atmosphere. Each student
receives passages to practice pace,
phrasing, expression, and punctuation.
Children learn to self-monitor their
reading by using timers and graphing
their scores. The instructor provides
step by step instruction on reading
fluency, including vocabulary and
comprehension. Price inc
