Editor’s Letter up all the sun? Dear Ladies, Welcome to August! Are we enjoying the summer and soaking served the United States as a federal attorney with the Department of Homeland Security for almost twenty years with significant impact but resigned in 2017, to pursue her dreams, a non- profit called S.H.I.N.E Networking Inc. She tells us about life after resignation, and of course, the fear she experienced when deciding to leave her job of twenty years. Her interview will inspire you, particularly if you are seeking to leave your day job and pursue your dream job. Our DOZ Show Preferred Guest is Dr. Leslie Hodge. She is a beautiful woman, a pharmacist, and founder of Scripts and Beyond LLC. She established this business to help people understand their prescription, mainly after she observed the devastating effects of people not understanding their medications. She seeks to bridge the gaps in information and understanding and to simplify the complex when it comes to medication lists. She is also a writer and has just released her first book titled, At The End Of The Day: Take It Personally. You will love this woman and her story. “DOZ Chronicles: Ruki” continues in this issue. Ruki’s dreams are gradually unfolding before her eyes, and it is almost too good to be true. Enjoy reading it. See you in September. Only yesterday, I met up with two wonderful ladies - sisters - whom I have had the pleasure and privilege of interviewing on DOZ Show. One has also been a cover story in this magazine. They had flown into London from the US to spend a few days of their summer vacation. It was lovely to meet with them in person, and although it was a very brief meeting, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. There was a lot of hugging, sharing stories of projects worked on, and lessons learned. I even got a gift; an autographed copy of their latest book project, a collaboration involving seven women. Reading the kind words they had written to me when they autographed the book, brought tears to my eyes. It made me realise how valuable the work that I do is to a lot of women. Moments like this one are few and far between, but they keep me going when the bad days roll by. Do you have bad days in your work? What keeps you going? You are reading DOZ Issue 46, August 2019, and you will love all the stories that have been put together for your enjoyment and inspiration. Our DOZ That Inspire You, for this issue is, Meg Nocero. A fabulous woman. Meg is an attorney, writer, speaker, and empowerment coach. She Blessings! 3 DOZ Magazine | August 2019
