Editor ’ s letter
Eturuvie Erebor
The first time I read it , I realised I had been an ingrate to complain that I had only one child when there are Daughters of Zion out there with their arms empty . For the first time , I was truly grateful to God that I had a child in my arms . I stopped looking at what I didn ’ t have and started to rejoice for what I did have
Dear Readers ,
Welcome to the month of March ! This is the 7 th issue of DOZ Magazine since our relaunch last September . Time does fly when you ’ re having fun . It seems like it was only yesterday that I was writing the first Editor ’ s Letter for our first re-launch issue , and here I am writing the seventh .
Seven is a special number and stands for perfection , and it is my prayer that as you read this issue of DOZ Magazine , perfection will come to every area of your lives where it is required . I want to seize this opportunity to say a big thank you to all who have been a part of this journey so far . I want to thank the giver and sustainer of the vision , God Almighty . He continues to open doors and make things happen . Truly , faithful is He that calleth who also will do it . I want to thank the wonderful women and men who subscribe to and read DOZ Magazine . Without you , there would be no reason to go on . I also want to thank Team DOZ , for their wonderful contributions that have made each issue a huge success . DOZ would not have come this far without your inputs . Thank you .
To inspire us , we have featured , a phenomenal woman , Prophetess Maribel Cintron , also known as Broken to Peace . She is living proof that God can use anyone and anything for His glory . Only He could have taken a woman , who was in rags , gangs , and drugs and placed her on the pulpit to proclaim the gospel . Maribel Cintron left home at the age of 12 , went through hell in an abusive relationship that almost took her life . At the age of 15 , she was already pregnant and living on the streets . Before her 19th birthday , she was a mother of three boys . Her story will leave you in awe of the God we serve .
This issue has several uplifting articles , amongst which is Empty Arms . It is a true story that was initially submitted by Karen White for DOZ Devotional Volume 1 . I felt led to republish it under the Love , Courtship and Marriage section of this issue of DOZ Magazine . The first time I read it , I realised I had been an ingrate to complain that I had only one child when there are Daughters of Zion out there with their arms empty . For the first time , I was truly grateful to God that I had a child in my arms . I stopped looking at what I didn ’ t have and started to rejoice for what I did have . God owes us nothing , and whatever He gives us is a privilege and we ought to be grateful .
I look forward to seeing you same time next month .
