The mixed use project proposes condos, high end office space, hotel and ground lev- el retail. The current plan is for the main tower to be 45-stories tall and include over 300 residential units. The goal is for site work to begin in mid-2020. The Vela project on 8th Street South is still moving forward. As soon as they have 10 units under contract, they will start to build, with an estimated 13 month build sched- ule. They currently have four under con- tract. Prices start at $401,000, with 10% down at contract, and a second 10% due when construc- tion begins. A number of new restaurants and wine bars have been announced for downtown: Sauvingnon: Wine Locker and American Trattoria; La Pergola; Rocket Fizz; and of course the new dessert restaurant, Better Than Sex, is opening in the Edge District.
