Bill had lived with Janette in the California bungalow home they had purchased when newlyweds and there was no way he was leaving it . He told Bruce that they were going to have to take him out of there in a box .

Over the past 12 months Bill and Janette had started to decline rapidly . In the last six months Janette had developed heart problems and struggled to get out of bed or move off the couch .
