Stairs are a major factor in deciding which options may be
suitable for you. I often talk with people who are interested
in living in a townhouse but, due to limited supply of land
nowadays, most townhouses will be over a minimum of two
and three levels. This is quite common in today’s market. And
therein lies the problem. Many downsizers have a real issue
with stairs, whether it is due to physical ailments or just a
desire not to contend with stairs on a daily basis.
A recent trend with developers is to build ‘reverse living’
townhouses.
Reverse living is simply the garage and bedrooms on the
ground floor with stairs leading to the upper or top level where
the living and kitchen are located. Better yet, you might find a
