Fresh off an solid homecoming win over Spanish Springs, the Douglas High football team will be looking to get into the Sierra League win column against Galena Friday night.
The Tigers and the Grizzlies square off at 7 p.m. in Minden.
Douglas rode a strong defensive effort to a 23-13 win over Spanish Springs last week while Galena fell to Reno.
The Tigers recorded three sacks against Spanish Springs, intercepted a pass in the end zone and recovered a fumble while limited the Cougars to just 38 rushing yards.
Carson Valley transplant Sonny Robison has passed for 524 yards for the Grizzlies this season. Grant Hooks leads Galena in rushing with 82 carries for 335 yards and Quintin Mills has rushed 20 times for 142 yards.
Galena has won the past two match-ups between the two schools
