RW Construction came back with the lowest.

“The cost of the building was $110,000, but what they were able to do was get the vast majority of materials and labor donated to the project. You had companies out here like Minden Electric and Curtis & Sons doing things for zero profit, it helped keep the costs down.

“The carpet was donated. The roofing was donated. Stiltz Tile donated. R.O. Anderson worked up all the plans for free. Three Castles Engineering did the engineering at zero cost. These are people and companies that continue to contribute to the school simply because they want to give back to the community.

“It's a pretty unbelievable place we live in. We couldn't have done this without the tremendous help of the community. The people that did this work, the word 'no' was just not in their vocabulary. It was amazing. I don't know if we'll ever be able to thank everyone involved enough.”

Previously, the box had three rooms – one for each team's

es and one room for the statkeepers, scorekeepers, spotters, announcer and any media to try to squeeze into.

The new version includes expanded and tiered rooms for each coaching staff, a media room, and a VIP room. A level platform on top of the building has been constructed for each school's film crews, as well as potential television broadcast film crews.

In addition, storage rooms on the lower level have been constructed for the football program. Previously, their storage was kept in a metal shipping container on campus. There is also a coaches film room at the rear of the structure.

Donations for the project came from the Seeman Foundation, Douglas High Football, the Douglas High Block D Letterman's Club, Douglas High Track & Field and the Douglas High Athletic Program.

Additional Contributions and donations came from RW Construction, R.O. Anderson Engineering, 3 Castles Engineering, Curtis & Sons, Legacy Drywall, Ahern Hardware, Meek's Building Supply, Jeff Dinsmore, Robinson Mobile Welding, Levy Concrete, R&M Roofing, flooring courtesy of PR Supply, the Douglas High School All-Sports Boosters, Minden Electric, Stiltz Tile, Nova Tile, Valley Door Works, Bing Materials, Ahern Rentals, Joe Ramos and Desert Landscape.
