FLOWER GIRLS Naomi Adams, who is the designer and pattern maker at Damselfly, shares her top five tips f for selecting the perfect fl flower girl frock. 1. Choose natural fibres such as silk & cotton; avoid man-made fibres such as polyester or nylon, these aren’t as breathable, and they can become hot and scratchy. Advert Credit: Curly Chops Design 2. Choose a style that complements your dress; you’ve spent so much time choosing your dress and creating the style of your wedding so make sure the little one’s dresses fit with this. 3. Mix and Match; why not mix and match dresses – you can opt for dresses with a similar theme but choosing slightly different styles will enable you to select dresses that suit each girl and also having their “own” dress makes them feel special. 4. Avoid the high street; if you’re reading Dotty Magazine, then I’m quite sure you want your wedding to be individual. Quite often the flower girls outfits is where this comes unstuck. 5. Consider dresses with hand-worked detail; They’re nice to keep as heirlooms for when your little flower girl is older... even to pass on to future generations! www.dottyvintageweddings.co.uk 49 Love Vintage.
