Box & Cox Vintage Hire is run by husband
and wife team, Ben and Gemma, and is
based in Cornwall. The couple love all
things antique and vintage. They enjoy
sourcing, up-cycling and creating beautiful hire items
for weddings or events. They aim to make organising
beautiful events simpler, by offering a wide choice of
vintage items that make the perfect finishing touch.
Gemma explains further, “Where possible, we try to source
genuine antique and vintage pieces. We love that old
pieces have a history and can instantly add character and
intrigue to a space. Some of our pieces show their age.
They can be rusty and sometimes a little dusty, but
we think that’s part of their charm.”
“When we have to buy new pieces, we buy from British
crafts people, and especially like to utilise the skills of
those on our doorstep. In Cornwall, we are particularly
lucky to have a great wealth of talented artisans, and it’s
important to us to support them. We are always looking to
add new pieces to our collection. If you’d like something

1. TRY NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE: If you’re planning
to source lots of vintage pretties for your wedding, don’t
underestimate how long it might take to find everything
you want. Trawling through charity shops, boot sales and
searching online can be a long, drawn out process. If you’re
struggling, then hire companies such as Box & Cox can save
