orset’s food and drink is plentiful. The
county has everything! We have butchers,
bakers and chocolate makers.
You cannot go far before you see the signs
of the wide variety of food and drink that is
produced here in the county. Meander along
the coast, you will see the abundance of fishing
boats in Swanage, West Bay or Lyme, bringing
in the fresh daily catch of seafood, or inland
you will see farmers checking on their cows,
lambs, pigs or even goats, bringing us the most
delicious cheeses, ice creams, sausages, bacon,
venison, lamb and poultry. Look deeper and
you will see the artisans at work too, producing
everything from bread to beer, chutney to cider
or chocolate to coffee.
