... and hopefully we will expand to other regions around the Arab world and we had opened a shop in Jeddah a year ago which is witnessing a great success high end fashion companies, since almost all of them are my customers, and of course for the designs I have Cerruti Baleri.
Now, are you planning on an expansion to the Middle East with Cerruti Baleri?
Frankly, we had opened a very elegant shop in Jeddah a year ago which is witnessing a great success, and hopefully we will expand to other regions around the Arab world.
Since you have been working for years with people around our part of the world, what about fashion sense in our region?
The Arab world has everything, because of all the traveling Arabs do all around the world, so they get exposed to everything new and trendy. Buying high-end products usually falls under two things, people buying because of their fine taste, and people buying to show off that they have money. And this behaviour towards buying is everywhere around the world.
When it comes to sponsoring a sport to associate the brand with, which type of sport would you sponsor?
I don’ t like sponsoring a sport in a generic way, rather I like sponsoring people, so during summer we sponsor the tennis champion Jimmy Connors, and in winter we sponsor the legendary skier Ingemar Stenmark, among some football players and Hollywood artists. I like to focus on a

person, not a category of people.
I heard that 1881 is now an object that is available at the factory, so what is it and does it date back to that year?
Oh yes, that’ s a safe which was bought back in 1881 when my grandfather first started the factory, it looks like one of those safes you would see in old western movies. But we had this since then and we still have it at the entrance as a reminder of the heritage we have. I had an interesting discovery when I found out what the meaning of the number 1881 in Chinese, double I meant longevity and double 8 meant prosperity. �
