Cel : Don received the sign of the cross at his baptism . Lifted on the cross , Jesus declared his victory over sin and death .
All : May Don now share in the cross of Christ , the tree of life , of hope , of promise .

Cel : As we sprinkle Don ’ s body with blessed water , we remember that as a child Don was washed in the saving waters of baptism and initiated into the faith community . All : May Christ , who claimed Don in baptism , now warmly welcome him among the angels and saints .
