Santa Maria Church
Located in San Gregorio neighborhood, it was built in
1888 like San Juan Church, thanks to the generous
donation of Mrs. Consuelo Torre. Of Neo-Romanesque
it has a façade sparsely decorated with a side tower
and in the interior there are three navels with a Latin
cross. It was declared a parish in 1896.
Convent of Las Carmelitas Descalzas
It was founded in 1883 in one of the most representative streets in the town.
The convent chapel shows the image of Christ which was used in the film
Marcelino pan y vino.
Cultural Centre
This unique, modern, functional building was designed by the famous architect Rafael Moneo.
Inside it there is an event room, exhibition halls and the Francisco Valdés Public Library.
