The gastronomy of Don Benito, which is a big part of the extremeño spirit, is mainly characterized

Ajo de calabaza, de cardillos, migao (a dish with garlic, pumpkin, roots, bread, …); Stews of pig and
lamb, such as calderetas, jerimojes, marinades, dry meat products, … as well as some fish dishes like

With regard to confectionery, it is worth
mentioning las bollas de Pascua (Easter cakes),
chicharrones (made from lard), pestiños and
gañotes (deep-fried cakes with honey) rosquillas
