COSMODROME
WITH JAY-JAY JOHANSON, 2001
Cosmodrome is a “spectacle environnement,” a dark room. A comprehensive
environment like a “son-et-lumière”, with music especially composed by Jay-Jay
Johanson, an experience of audio and visual sequences, lasting 9 minutes. “It is also
a look back at panoramas or those large-scale environments designed to generate
sensations, with the idea of going towards not the object-work but the sensationwork.”

Cosmodrome, 2001
Cosmodrome is an immersive light and sound installation staged in a darkened, enclosed room. A 9-minute program
of LED light sequences, narration and instrumentation surrounds the viewer. The floor is covered in a layer of black
sand.
